Strategy & Commissioning Development 

Attain’s Strategy & Commissioning Development Team supports customers to identify and develop their objectives and strategy and plan for their delivery. Our goal is to work with customers to create evidence-based, deliverable strategies and equip them to be able to deliver these.


We are experienced at problem solving, analysing and building relationships to identify simple and realistic strategies to improve health and social care. We support our customers across their planning lifecycle, identifying objectives, defining and developing strategies and roadmaps and critically, planning for the delivery of these so that ambition becomes a reality. A good strategic plan will help to deliver your organisation’s vision for services in your local care economy.


All of our support is underpinned by a commitment to evidence-based decision making built from a strong analytical foundation. Our analysts have a wealth of experience supporting NHS and social care, from data analysis and interpretation, to informing strategic reviews – we understand the depth and breadth of data sources and the common problems you face.

Design and development

An organisation’s strategy will only be realised with solid systems of governance, engagement, people management, relationships and delivery planning. We have deep skills and understanding of how to build effective organisations – we work with leadership teams, boards and staff groups to develop their skills and capabilities; embed core and delivery processes; manage information and performance and ensure that scarce resources are used both efficiently and effectively.

Our team

Our team brings together people with deep NHS experience, consulting and advisory, analytical, commercial and private sector backgrounds and expertise. We are practical and driven by a desire to see what we do and develop actually implemented. We work closely with our Service Transformation colleagues, both within Attain and in our customer organisations, to ensure coherence between the aims and goals of an organisation, its plans, skills, capabilities and structures – and delivery.
