I joined the Service Transformation Team in September 2018. Prior to joining, I had spent the last 9 years of my career working across the NHS in Quality and Service Improvement Roles, within various Acute Provider Organisations.
I started off my career working within Clinical Governance and then moved into more formal project management working within PMO teams delivering service and cost improvements.
How have your first 30 days been at Attain?
The first 30 days have flown by!
Before joining, I was invited to attend a team meeting which was a great opportunity to meet colleagues and understand more about the business and it’s values (and made the first day less daunting!). On joining the company, I was impressed by the structured induction programme; through various training sessions, introductory meetings and shadowing opportunities, I was able to quickly learn about the business and the types of projects that Attain were involved in.
I can genuinely say that everyone has been really welcoming and I’ve received various offers of support and guidance which has made it a really easy company to fit into.
What attracted you to Attain?
I was looking for a new challenge to develop my skills across a wider NHS system when I came across Attain. Before applying for the role, I did a fair bit of research and immediately knew this was a company I’d like to work for. The values and ethos of improving healthcare services is something that resonates with me.
Throughout the interview process I had the opportunity to speak to a number of staff and I asked plenty of questions about what day to day life was like at Attain and everything they told me made me more certain that this was the right role for me.
What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?
The people! This really is a values driven company and you can see the passion and enthusiasm for improving healthcare services amongst everyone working at Attain. Although we are all working across the country there is a real team spirit and there is always someone at the other end of a phone or email with support or advice, whether it’s about a project or on a personal level.
What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?
I hope to continue working within roles that support the NHS in making improvements that make a real difference.
I will have exposure to a wide variety of work, which will help me further enhance my own skills and knowledge.
