Tell us a little bit about yourself

I have worked closely with multi-billion-dollar enterprises, SMEs and start-ups, shaping business models, gathering requirements for improved business processes, mitigating risks and mentoring business leaders. I have extensive experience developing and delivering all aspects of strategic and commercial strategies for forward-thinking enterprises predominantly in healthcare. Drawing on my background with both major and niche consultancies, including McKinsey & Company, and with wide international development experience in healthcare with residential periods in Australia, Middle East, Sudan, Asia-Pacific and USA, I deliver on business model transition for forward-thinking enterprises with ambitious objectives. Before joining Attain my most recent 20-month assignment was with NHS England where I led on the creation of the exchange business model for the health information exchange valued at £19m per year covering 32 providers across London.

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

Productively exhausting yet thoroughly satisfying! In my first 30 days at Attain I have found the work rewarding yet challenging. The support and comradery given by my Attain colleagues have been tremendous and so helpful for someone like myself who has worked mainly as an independent consultant for a long time. The introductory meetings were informative and the well organised company meeting helped me to understand Attain’s line of direction and strategic ambitions and also gave me the opportunity to meet many of my Attain colleagues. The operations team at Attain are hands-on and helped me quickly get up to speed on the company’s business processes and standards. I’m learning again the benefits of being part of a team!

What attracted you to Attain?

No one doubts the NHS has extreme financial pressures. However, providing sustainable advice and support to the NHS in evolving markets requires a move away from traditional consulting models. Attain has an extensive network of senior and highly experienced facilitators, managers, specialists, and analysts. Attain can draw on these resources to deliver a wide range of projects and programmes to provide requisites skills and experience ensuring work gets done to client satisfaction and to budget. Attain attracted me because I want to be part of this collaborative working and supportive culture.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

No doubt it’s about the people. I have a great Attain buddy who contacts me very week and listens and gives great feedback. Attain people are happy to help no matter how busy their schedule.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

An opportunity to contribute within my field of expertise to the business and help the business succeed in a tough market.
