Attain releases November Commercial Update

The end of summer has been a very productive time for several organisations linked to the NHS, with the publication of vast array of reports, reviews and guidance including a letter from David Nicholson giving Commissioners clear notice of three immediate actions to take; develop five year strategic plans, strengthen local partnerships and identify the things that will make the most difference to patients locally.

Supporting this, the NHS has been busy keeping up with recommendations through development of improved guidance and tools to support organisations to be fit to deliver high quality, safe care that demonstrates value for money have been released.

This November’s Commercial Update attempts to summarise the highlights of the last three months, including the afore mentioned publications, approaches to planning that combine transparency with detailed patient and public participation, competition, information about payment by outcomes and commercial contract management, both of which are key themes in many of the recently released reviews.
