Throughout the past 12 months, Attain has supported the design, development, and implementation of North East Essex CCG’s ambitious ‘Care Closer to Home’ programme, which aims transform the delivery of out of hospital health and social care services across North East Essex for the next 7–10 years.

Overview

Attain were engaged to support the development of Wigan Borough CCG’s commissioning strategy. The project identified indicative savings of circa £50 million over a five year transition period. Attain were tasked with delivering three key work streams:

  • Review of the acute contract and identification of potential activity shifts from an acute to a community setting
  • Analysis of the impact of identified shifts on activity and both finance and estates
  • Provision of a bespoke commissioner training programme to support business planning and transformational redesign and implementation of initiatives identified.
