Tell us a little bit about yourself
Before joining Attain Jon worked in the NHS for over 20 years in various procurement and supply chain roles. Jon spent most of his career with NHS Supply Chain, starting as a graduate trainee in the Logistics division, working both suppliers and NHS trusts to streamline and automate processes to optimise the physical supply of products to the NHS.
He has worked in several trusts and regional procurement organisations around the country on supply chain and procurement projects to identify and deliver procurement savings. In his last role, he led the procurement work stream for the Working Together Group which saved over £2M and standardised procurement processes across seven trusts.
How have your first 30 days been at Attain?
The first 30 days have gone incredibly quickly, the friendly and supportive culture of the organisation was immediately obvious and it was very easy to settle in. I have been building my understanding of the breadth and depth of the skills and knowledge of the team.
I have been continually impressed with the forward thinking attitude and commitment to the NHS.
My first project is underway and the quality of the team supporting me gives me great confidence that will exceed the customer’s expectations.
What attracted you to Attain?
After working in the NHS for over 20 years I was keen to move to an organisation that can truly make a difference. Attain understands the NHS and looks to both shape and deliver projects with the customer. The refreshing organisational culture and the calibre of the team was also important.
What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?
The people are great and I continue to learn from them all but also the customers as they appreciate the way Attain works with them to get results.
What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?
I hope to grow and develop within the organisation and continue to improve what we can offer to meet our customers changing needs.
