Attain releases August edition of the Commercial Update

Since the release of the Francis Inquiry, the NHS has consistently featured in headlines with reviews and reports, investigations and documentaries.

The last three months have brought us the Cavendish Review, Keogh Review, Berwick Review, a Public Accounts Committee Review into Out of Hours Services in Cornwall, a Dispatches feature on 111 Services, an alleged CQC cover-up, and news that the NHS should recruit a Procurement Champion.

Amongst all this, the NHS has been busy keeping up with recommendations through development of improved guidance and tools to support organisations to be fit to deliver high quality, safe care that demonstrates value for money have been released.

August’s Commercial Update attempts to summarise the highlights of the last three months, including the afore mentioned reviews, but also new procurement legislation and information about payment by outcomes and commercial contract management, both of which are key themes in many of the recently released reviews.
